Native Deen was recently featured on a CBS special entitled Arts Within Religion. This special ran in late April 2007, and is a good stepping stone for Muslims in Entertainment. Just a few years ago, Muslim Entertainers, particularly those in Nasheeds, were not getting much press attention. However, in recent times, we have seen Time Magazine cover Sami Yusuf, Native Deen on CBS, and Seven 8 Six on BBC, just to name a few. Check out the video clip below to see part of the CBS program.
